God Save the Queen is a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. I painted it to mark the moment of her passing, a moment that closes a chapter in British history.
The title is poignant, as the anthem ‘God Save the Queen’ will no longer be sung for at least a century, with three generations now under a king Charles, William, George. This work reflects both loss and the historic transition of the monarchy.
